The rosary bandage I developed for my project needed to be tested on possible users to better motivate my design decisions.
My only aim for this test is actually to generate debates among people making them questioning the death, public and private rituals related to death and the inner feelings of mourning.
So I targeted 2 different groups of people and I tried to approach them in the ways I thought it could be the most suitable for each of them.
# 1° target group: dark/gothic on line community. I chose them because they claim themselves as fond of death issue. They should be more open and sensitive to the theme, as they rapresent for me the extreme group from which getting the extreme comments.
The test for them consisted on explaining how the bandage works and asking their comments on the following webpage for survey:

# 2° target group: common people from different nationalities and religions. I made an “analogic” model of the rosary as a chocolate cookie and I gave to each person one of it. Analogic because chocolate as well can have the similar effect of the bendage due to the amount of serotonin it contains. In the packaging I explained how the bandage works and I asked for comments.

Testing rosary cookie
I made this test with the 2° target group during the school trip on the 13th of june, 2007.
I gave the cookie to 20 students on the bus, at the beginning of our journey.
The cookie shape is the same as the rosary and it is made from chocolate so that if you eat it, it can give you a similar effect of the bendage due to the amount of serotonin contained.
